Dear Yoga students and those interested in Yoga,

This ad will be in the next Courier-Record, and since there is plenty of stress and tension left over from the holidays, perhaps this opportunity to learn how to dissolve stress (which is tension in the mind) will be taken. I am confident that anyone with the intent of actually sitting down and doing something about finding relief can do so. This has been proven in my own experience, in our yoga class, and in all that I have studied and been taught over the past 46 years.

Yes, that's a long time to have been studying stress removal, but taking out the trash, getting the mind really clean, and then knowing how to keep new trash from coming in cannot be done over night. And, I didn't have a handy stress removal class like this one. And, besides, I'm a slow learner. Six weeks is long enough for someone to learn what a broom is, how to hold it, and when to use it. All that is left is practice.

The main course in this class will be our conscious relaxation that we are already doing in yoga class, or what is call Yoga Nidra (yoga sleep). This powerful state of total relaxation takes us between the waking and dreaming state, where the conscious mind is detached from sensory perceptions and comes into contact with the deeper mind where our natural pure consciousness resides. After replenishing itself, our consciousness returns to our surface waking world full of healing powers and insight into our problems. When touched by a consciousness that has been in Yoga Nidra, tension begins to dissolve without effort, and stress is gradually replaced by an abiding sense of well being.

So, if you know someone who might benefit from this class, tell them to give me a call.

Thank you,
Ed
