BYC Newsletter #12

Dear Yoga students and those interested in Yoga,

This ad is going in the Courier-Record Dec. 7. I'm sending it to you in case you know someone who might be interested. The course will expand on what we are doing in yoga sessions, without learning a complete routine of asanas. During the course we will build a workable blueprint of the mind and how stress manifests itself. The basic understanding needed for stress removal is that stress is not caused by external events but by the way we perceive those external events.

Learning how to identify stress in the mind and then separating ourselves from it will be the core instuction in the course. In order to practice this process we will learn meditation and deep relaxation during the session, some basic stretching exercises, and how to apply these methods to our everyday life at work and at home. Stress can be transformed into positive energy when we learn how to see it and accept it without labeling. In fact, stress is a great opportunity to transform a problematic mind into a peaceful mind.

The sessions will also include sharing time after relaxation so participants can support each other in their efforts to clean up their minds and become stress free.

Thank you,
Om Peace
