To those who practice meditation and search for wisdom's way
We are what we choose.
We are so used to the saying that we are what we eat that we never look under the covers to the bottom line truth of our existence: WE ARE WHAT WE CHOOSE. We all know this to be true, but we don’t live this truth, and we only really know something is true when we live it. And living a truth means doing it, leaping right off the cliff doing it!
So I’m putting my action where my words are and leaping off a cliff, right here in front of you. I’m choosing to be a motivational speaker. The leap is all there is. No safety net.
Here is a link to the ad I’m running in this week’s Courier.
We all choose ourselves every moment. We create our world and ourselves every instant, but we don’t see the space or the choice in which this act of creation occurs. Just as we don’t see the frames in a movie; what we see in our mind’s eye is a movie of reality, in which we play a character, but we fail to notice that we are also the producer and the director. We leave that off the credits.
Why is that? We identify with the character we have created in the past, mostly unconsciously, and have given it the power of choice. But that character is a fiction! An actor! And because we have not claimed our power of choice, the world appears to be attacking and limiting us. We believe we can’t do what we want because the world won’t let us. It is our relationship, our job, our bodies, and our personality, whatever. So the world-movie we live in has a story that never ends, until we die. It’s a story of loss and missed dreams, and wondering what it’s all about.
And all the while, sleeping inside our character actor, is a director and producer of our life who has the power to write and produce another life story, one that fulfills our dreams instead of denying them.
Well, that's enough words. I’ll let you know how my leap of faith turns out. Wherever I fall it will be okay. That’s the most important part of the leap, knowing that whatever happens, success or failure, you are still okay.
Meditate, if you want to wake up your producer/director. They are just waiting for your character to stop playing his/her role.
Om Peace. Meditate.
Thank
you,
Ed
